Glauce é médica especializada em obstetra e ginegologia, dedicou cerca de 25 anos ao estudo de endometriose. Percebeu que seria possível transformar a vida das mulheres que são acometidas por esta patologia, oferecendo a elas a possibilidade de terem bem estar, sem cólicas, sem dores no ato sexual e que ter filhos não fosse uma obrigação nem tampouco uma proibição.
Glauce is a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, who has devoted nearly 25 years to the study of endometriosis. He realized that it would be possible to transform the lives of women who are affected by this pathology, offering them the possibility of being well-being, without cramps, without pain in the sexual act and that having children was neither an obligation nor a prohibition.
A doutora resolveu dar voz as mulheres invisíveis, aquela que mulheres que não tem tanto acesso a saúde, sofridas, frustradas e incompreendidas que buscam ajudas sem resposta ou sem orientação necessária para mudar a vida delas.
The doctor decided to give voice to invisible women, those women who do not have as much access to health, suffering, frustrated and misunderstood who seek help without an answer or without the necessary guidance to change their lives.

A campanha surgiu observando-se o crescente número de casos no diagnóstico de endometriose. Esse aumento de demanda nos leva a um grande desafio, pois sem a devida agilidade nas condutas e tratamentos, há um real impacto negativo na qualidade de vida das pacientes em questão.
The campaign came about by observing the growing number of cases in the diagnosis of endometriosis. This increase in demand leads us to a great challenge, because without due agility in the conducts and treatments, there is a real negative impact on the quality of life of the patients in question.
Segundo dados da OMS, a endometriose atinge 1/10 mulheres em idade reprodutiva, chegando a uma média de 190 milhões em todo mundo. Indicando que apesar de toda invisibilidade, esse não é um problema de poucos.

É importante entender que a endometriose não é apenas uma doença localizada no aparelho reprodutivo feminino, ela apresenta um perfil genético, epigenético, com alterações hormonais e imunológicas e de exposição ambiental. Apesar de universal, em sinais e sintomas, o tratamento ideal deveria ser abordado de uma forma individualizada(de acordo com idade, dor, vontade de engravidar, resposta ao tratamento clínico, instituído desde o início do sintomas).

Essa campanha tem como pilar LEVAR INFORMAÇÃO pois as pessoas devem compreender que a endometriose é uma doença com importante impacto na saúde pública. Então se faz necessário sensibilizar as autoridades responsáveis pelas políticas de saúde e seus mecanismo de ação na sociedade e buscar identificar modelos eficazes de tratamento, diagnóstico e prevenção através do aumento e estimulo de pesquisas sobre a patogênese, fisiopatologia e genética; DIMINUIR O TEMPO DE DIAGNÓSTICO porque o diagnóstico de endometriose, no Brasil, chega a demorar cerca de 10 anos. Nesse período há a progressão da doença que leva a uma mudança prognóstico, tratamento, e diminuição de qualidade; OTIMIZAR TRATAMENTO para impedir evolução da doença, deve ser oferecida uma equipe multidisciplinar demonstrando a complexidade e a necessidade de individualidade na abordagem; DESROMANTIZAR porque ter dor não é um ato romântico. As mulheres não deveriam aceitar que a cólica é uma coisa normal. Cólica não é frescura. Não se trata então de “limiar baixo de dor”, não se pode mais aceitar argumentos ilógicos e preconceituosos com as mulheres. Toda cólica tem que ser investigada. Além das cólicas, também é importante não aceitar a dor na relação sexual, se deve buscar e encontrar tratamento.
This campaign is based on BRINGING INFORMATION, as people must understand that endometriosis is a disease with a major impact on public health. So it is necessary to sensitize the authorities responsible for health policies and their mechanism of action in society and seek to identify effective models of treatment, diagnosis and prevention through the increase and stimulation of research on pathogenesis, pathophysiology and genetics; DECREASE THE TIME OF DIAGNOSIS because the diagnosis of endometriosis, in Brazil, takes about 10 years. In this period there is the progression of the disease that leads to a change in prognosis, treatment, and decrease in quality; OPTIMIZING TREATMENT To prevent disease progression, a multidisciplinary team must be provided, demonstrating the complexity and need for individuality in the approach; DISROMANTIZING because having pain is not a romantic act. Women shouldn’t accept that colic is a normal thing. Colic is not freshness. Therefore, it is not a matter of “low pain threshold”, it is no longer possible to accept illogical and prejudiced arguments with women. Every colic has to be investigated. In addition to cramps, it is also important not to accept pain during sexual intercourse, if you should seek and find treatment.
Os pontos chaves para investigação e tratamento, de modo a não excluir outros diagnósticos diferenciais, é realizar uma boa anamnese para investigar histórico familiar e de sintomas atuais, exame físico e exame de imagem.
