PFW • AGNÈS B. WITH LAURE-HÉLÈNE VAUDIER
This post is also available in: PortuguêsEspañol
Once again, the designer Agnès Troublé, owner of the brand Agnès B., presented her winter collection during Parisian fashion week in artistic partnership with a young designer.
The one chosen at the time was Laure-Hélène Vaudier, who presented six different silhouettes in the collection in more neutral colors, light and fluid fabrics, that denoted a romantic aspect to the mood.
Agnès, who is a former student of the École du Louvre, has always been closely linked to art in all its forms, not just fashion. Owner of an art gallery that also bears her name (located on Rue 6 du jour), opened in 1984, shortly before opening a second space also designed for art in Tokyo and also heads a gallery on Rue Quincampoix. In addition, Agnès always sponsors events linked to contemporary art and seeks to encourage young people to develop works focused on music, painting, sculpture and of course, fashion.
Prior to creating her own brand, she was the publisher of Elle for a period and then a stylist for the French label Dorothée Bis (of female pret-a-porter). Only in 1975, she opened her first shop, already labeled Agnes B. (The “B”, comes from the surname of her first husband, Christian Bourgois).
As a good art lover (always dedicated to encouraging new artists), every season, as she does a few years ago, invites young designers to present their work during the Agnès B. fashion show in Paris fashion week.
Vaudier did not miss the opportunity and presented a beautiful conception, where he used several inspirations to compose the collection presented in the winter catwalks 2018, as the poem Baudelaire, the book of Duras … the girl with man’s hat shoes … e l’heure du coffee.
The composition of the collection brings a mix of contemporary styles that allows you to dress the most casual and the most formal woman in a totally original way.
A classic winter but full of new possibilities.
A little bit of the initial draft…
