HEAVEN PLEASE + • FROM HONG KONG TO THE WORLD

I’m in love with the pieces from Heaven Please +, a brand from Hong Kong that has two fabulous designers in their creative direction: Yi Chan and Lary Cheung.
Both graduated as fashion designer in Hong Kong, followed early in their careers by different paths. Yi was fashion editor at Marie Claire and Lary worked as a fashion designer for some British brands. However, it was in 2011 that they met at Heaven Please + and since then have developed a beautiful work of visual identity in the brand.
The Heaven Please + pieces are contemporary but contain details that show how each piece can be genuinely individual, however simple it may seem. To bring this into evidence, Yi and Lary include in building their collections concepts from other artistic forms beyond fashion such as music, literature, designer concepts and other craft constructions.
The pieces have subtle designer variations such as diverging cut, handcrafted details and contrast of colors. They finally created a totally unique visual concept for an originally traditional piece.
During my recent trips to Paris, London and Milan, I used some of the brand’s coats that have become key parts of each look, leaving a simple composition more elegant and cool at the same time.
