13ª EDIÇÃO DA DW! SEMANA DE DESIGN SÃO PAULO

Olá meus amores, hoje venho falar para vocês sobre a 13ª edição da DW! Semana de Design de São Paulo, que hoje é o maior festival do setor na América Latina e o terceiro maior do mundo. O evento, que irá correr entre 14 e 24 de março e reunirá mais de mil criativos e marcas em 130 locais da cidade e promoverá cerca de 200 ações. Neste ano, a DW! se desdobrará em oito distritos, um digital e sete físicos, espalhados em diversas regiões e cada um deles exaltando a importância da água por meio dos rios e córregos que serpenteiam a capital paulista.

Hello my loves, today I come to tell you about the 13th edition of DW! São Paulo Design Week, which is today the largest festival in the sector in Latin America and the third largest in the world. The event, which will run between March 14th and 24th, will bring together more than a thousand creatives and brands in 130 locations in the city and will promote around 200 actions. This year, DW! It will unfold into eight districts, one digital and seven physical, spread across different regions and each of them extolling the importance of water through the rivers and streams that meander through the capital of São Paulo.

Concebida em 2012 pelo empresário Lauro Andrade, é um festival urbano de design que tem como propósito, através da cultura da área e de suas conexões, dialogar com o próprio movimento da cidade, com o propósito de promover uma mudança na sociedade de forma individual e coletiva. Arquitetura, arte, decoração, urbanismo, inclusão social, negócios, inovação, tecnologia e outros temas da economia criativa se unem nessa proposta plural e diversa.

Conceived in 2012 by businessman Lauro Andrade, it is an urban design festival whose purpose, through the culture of the area and its connections, dialogue with the city’s own movement, with the purpose of promoting change in society individually and collective. Architecture, art, decoration, urbanism, social inclusion, business, innovation, technology and other themes of the creative economy come together in this plural and diverse proposal.

A cada nova edição o festival também elege uma temática que permeia a programação. Em 2024, a água será o grande destaque, uma vez que o evento ocorre durante a semana do Dia Mundial da Água (22/4). Inspirada no tema, a identidade visual da DW! SP 2024 foi assinada pela arquiteta, designer gráfica e educadora Maria Claudia Levy Figliolino. Reafirmando seu compromisso de suscitar debates e reflexões sobre questões prementes da cidade, o festival presta homenagem a sete rios e córregos que foram decisivos para a fundação e a expansão de São Paulo, associando seus nomes a cada um dos sete distritos físicos do evento.

With each new edition, the festival also chooses a theme that permeates the program. In 2024, water will be the main highlight, as the event takes place during the week of World Water Day (22/4). Inspired by the theme, the visual identity of DW! SP 2024was signed by architect, graphic designer and educator Maria Claudia Levy Figliolino. Reaffirming its commitment to sparking debates and reflections on pressing issues in the city, the festival pays tribute to seven rivers and streams that were decisive for the founding and expansion of São Paulo, associating their names with each of the seven physical districts of the event.

Fomentando a valorização de espaços públicos emblemáticos e de bairros que concentram núcleos de renovação e reinvenção da economia criativa e do design autoral, o evento também promoverá ações especialmente segmentadas no Centro de São Paulo, onde haverá ocupação inédita de edificações históricas.

Promoting the appreciation of emblematic public spaces and neighborhoods that concentrate centers of renewal and reinvention of the creative economy and authorial design, the event will also promote specially targeted actions in the Center of São Paulo, where there will be unprecedented occupation of historic buildings.

Na Galeria Metrópole, a Arena de Conteúdo, patrocinada pelo Senac-SP, promoverá intervenções nos espaços múltiplos do edifício, que também acolherá outras duas ações: a ocupação Design na Metrópole, com marcas e criadores autorais, e a exposição Um Lugar, promovida pelo Prêmio Salão Design, reunindo peças de 60 designers contemporâneos entre os melhores do Brasil. No Edifício Itália, o Circolo Italiano recebe a mostra Design 2×2, promovida pelo BOOMSPDESIGN. No Largo da Misericórdia, o Edifício Tácito de Toledo Lara terá os nove andares ocupados por criadores de economia circular, moda, design e arte. No Edifício Martinelli,Marcelo Rosenbaum e Cris Rosenbaum apresentam uma exposição derivada de ações coletivas realizadas em comunidades por meio do projeto A Gente Transforma. Além disso, A Feira Rosembaum é um evento âncora que também ocorrerá no Edifício Martinelli.

At Galeria Metrópole, the Content Arena, sponsored by Senac-SP, will promote interventions in the building’s multiple spaces, which will also host two other actions: the Design na Metrópole occupation, with brands and authorial creators, and the exhibition Um Lugar, promoted by Salão Design Award, bringing together pieces by 60 contemporary designers among the best in Brazil. At Edifício Itália, Circolo Italiano hosts the Design 2×2 exhibition, promoted by BOOMSPDESIGN. In Largo da Misericórdia, the Tácito de Toledo Lara Building will have nine floors occupied by creators of the circular economy, fashion, design and art. At the Martinelli Building, Marcelo Rosenbaum and Cris Rosenbaum present an exhibition derived from collective actions carried out in communities through the A Gente Transforma project. Additionally, The Rosembaum Fair is an anchor event that will also take place at the Martinelli Building.

SP 2023 foi inaugurado o espaço Home & Design, com mais de 10 mil m², três pisos e uma concentração de marcas de mobiliário, revestimentos, tapeçaria, iluminação e lojas que têm o design no DNA como traço em comum. Shopping Cidade Jardim is one of the most luxurious in the capital and has national and international brands, good cuisine and exclusive services such as the ‘private shopper’. During DW! SP 2023 saw the inauguration of the Home & Design space, with more than 10 thousand m², three floors and a concentration of brands of furniture, coverings, upholstery, lighting and stores that have design in their DNA as a common thread. The space has architecture by Arthur Casas and lamps by artist Artur Lescher.

O Lar Center, inaugurado em 1987 na zona Norte, é o primeiro shopping dedicado a decoração e design de São Paulo. Em seus 45 mil m², concentra praticamente todos os segmentos ligados ao home design, da obra à decoração, passando por utensílios e uma infinidade de complementos em mais de uma centena de lojas. Em 2023, expandiu sua área gourmet com uma nova alameda gastronômica, o que inspirou o tema da exposição Design para Ver e Comer, na DW! SP 2023. Lar Center, opened in 1987 in the North zone, is the first shopping mall dedicated to decoration and design in São Paulo. In its 45 thousand m2, it concentrates practically all segments linked to home design, from work to decoration, including utensils and a multitude of accessories in more than a hundred stores. In 2023, it expanded its gourmet area with a new gastronomic mall, which inspired the theme of the exhibition Design to See and Eat, at DW! SP 2023. In this edition, the mall maintains the tradition of hosting major design exhibitions during the festival.
