Ambas essas acepções conceituam ferramentas preciosas, tanto para dinamizar reuniões mediúnicas — a indução do desdobramento com relativa facilidade é apenas a faceta mais visível do processo — quanto para catalogar, abordar e enfrentar uma gama de patologias que, em numerosos casos, dificilmente poderiam ser tratadas por outros meios.
As can be concluded, apometry constitutes a technique and a method of treatment. Both these meanings conceptualize precious tools, both to streamline mediumistic meetings — the induction of unfolding with relative ease is just the most visible facet of the process — and to catalog, address and face a range of pathologies that, in many cases, could hardly be treated by other means.
Allan Kardec elabora duas afirmações, cada qual relacionada a uma das finalidades acima, que denotam os benefícios substantivos da projeção da consciência. “No estado de desprendimento em que se acha, o Espírito do sonâmbulo [isto é, o sensitivo desdobrado] entra mais facilmente em comunicação com os outros Espíritos encarnados, ou não encarnados”² — palavras que permitem constatar seguramente que, havendo como promover o desdobramento com facilidade, a faculdade mediúnica e, por conseguinte, as reuniões espíritas só têm a ganhar em rendimento e produtividade. Pouco antes no mesmo texto, lê-se: “Para o Espiritismo, o sonambulismo [hoje denominado desdobramento] é mais que um fenômeno fisiológico; é uma luz projetada sobre a psicologia. É aí que se pode estudar a alma, pois é nele que ela se mostra claramente”³. Com efeito, depara-se com tamanha clareza ao se confirmar a importância da contribuição, aos tratamentos de saúde, de um estado que seria, mais de um século depois das palavras kardequianas, obtido sem grandes esforços por meio da técnica desenvolvida a partir das investigações do médico gaúcho.
Allan Kardec elaborates two affirmations, each related to one of the purposes above, which denote the substantive benefits of the projection of consciousness. “In the state of detachment in which it finds itself, the spirit of the somnambulist [that is, the unfolded sensitive] enters more easily into communication with other incarnated or non-incarnated spirits”² — words that allow us to safely verify that, if there is a way to promote the unfolding with ease, the mediumship faculty and, consequently, the spiritist meetings only have to gain in performance and productivity. A little earlier in the same text, it reads: “For Spiritism, somnambulism [today called unfolding] is more than a physiological phenomenon; it is a light shed upon psychology. That’s where you can study the soul, because that’s where it shows itself clearly”³. Indeed, it is so clear when confirming the importance of the contribution, to health treatments, of a state that would be, more than a century after Kardecian words, obtained without great efforts through the technique developed from the investigations of the gaucho doctor.
