IMMERSION IN THE RITZ • THE COCO CHANEL SUITE

Coco Chanel, perhaps the most famous guest of the Ritz (@ritzparis) lived in the hotel for more than 34 years, in the early twenties.
With the death of Boy Capel, Chanel rented a suit at the Ritz in 1937 where he lived until his death in January 1971.
It is undeniable that one of the greatest legacies of the Ritz is its collection of incredible stories through the long list of elite world visitors haunted by its avant-garde atmosphere and five-star facilities.
Moncompass (@moncompass) organized access to Coco Chanel’s suisse on our exclusive visit and I was able to get to know her in detail. Imagine my excitement when visiting this space so private and exclusive!
The 2024 square meter suite was decorated by Coco Chanel itself reflecting a universe of luxury and refinement, following the style of its atelier on Rue Cambon. The décor highlights Asian lacquer pieces, gold-framed mirrors and velvet furniture in beige and brown tones.
In the suite are also Gabrielle Chanel’s personal objects such as portraits, drawings and unpublished photographs, still unknown to the public. ” The Ritz is my home, ” Chanel told admiring friends of her rock crystal chandeliers and their collections of works of art.
The Coco Chanel suite has a privileged view to Place Vendôme and daily between 18 and 25 thousand euros depending on what time of the year and is not open to the public for visitation.
One of the celebrities staying in the Coco Chanel suite earlier this year was singer Rihanna.
I also met inside the Ritz hotel the Chanel Au Ritz Spa, the only Chanel Spa in the world, a spa that offers exclusive treatments with Chanel products, but this is the subject for another post!
