Hello dear ones, today I will tell you about my wonderful experience at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel, both in the restaurant and in the SPA. And of course, I can not fail to thank dear Lucia Paes de Barros (@lpbassessoria) and her top adviser for organizing those dream moments that I enjoyed along with my husband @chriskypriotis.
Shangri-La Hotels
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is one of the most respected hotel companies in the world. Do you think they have more than 90 hotels around the world? That gives more than 37,000 rooms! In 2010 the group opened a Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, the first in Europe. Shangri-La In Paris And The Bonaparte Prince
During my Shangri-La experience, I discovered that the hotel in Paris is actually the former home of Prince Roland Bonaparte! Imagine staying, dining and enjoying the wonderful SPA in an environment of home royals? Where did royalty circulate and make history? It really is a unique experience.
It all began in 1891, when Prince Roland Bonaparte bought 33,000 square meters of land on Avenue d’Iéna between the statue of George Washington and the Eiffel Tower, near the River Seine. The prince commissioned the architect Ernest Janty, renowned for his reconstruction work in the palaces of the Louvre and the Tuileries of Napoleon III, to design an elegant house and reception areas to welcome notable guests. And look at this, the most historic areas of the palace entered the official list of the French Institution of Monuments in 2009! The structure attracts attention since it is a mixture of architectural styles from the 17th and 19th centuries, the facade of the palace being inspired by Louis XIV style. Incredible, is not it?
The hotel has 101 suites, a SPA of the gods and three restaurants, two of them with Michelin star!
My Experience At Spa Shangri-La
CHI is the name of the SPA located inside the hotel. CHI draws inspiration from the origins of the Shangri-La legend, which describes a place of personal peace, enchantment and well-being. They offer within the SPA products of The Organic Pharmacy, an English brand of organic beauty products that offers luxurious treatments. The wonderful 15 x 6m swimming pool is bathed in natural light thanks to huge glass windows as well as the fitness room. Shang Palace: The Best Chinese Restaurant Of Paris
Shang Palace opened its doors in 2011 as the first Chinese fine dining restaurant in France. Chef and his team of four chefs from Hong Kong ensure their authentic culinary style. The team consists of four masters: Wok, BBQ, Chopper and Dim Sum. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was also signed by an interior decorator based in Hong Kong, meaning everything super original. Shang Palace’s kitchen has received 1 star in the 2012 Michelin Guide and remains today as the only Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in France! 👏
The dinner was also organized by @lpbessessoria, and there we were super well received by @williamlusteau. Our dinner was a custom tasting menu that the chef created just for us! Well, of course we had already expected good food, but we were actually surprised by dishes with a burst of flavors. For sure this moment will be forever in our memories ❤
At Shang Palace I point out the caramelized eggplant and the shrimp from the picture below (oh my gosh, what a dream)!
For main course the caramelized chicken is very delicious. Look, I’ve been trying for 10 minutes to describe this dish to you, but I can not! It’s too good, try it, please, and then tell me! Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Paris!
So, was not it a wonderful Shangri-La experience? Difficult after all this did not become a fan of the group.
