Hello girls! I was in the shop of the designer Ken Okada and I will tell you a little more about her.
Ken Okada is a fashion designer who graduated from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo as Kenzo and Yohji Yamamoto.
In 2001, after having settled in Paris and obtained prestigious prizes, she founded the house of fashion “Ken Okada”. Its first boutique in the beautiful Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter was inaugurated in January 2005. Among its collections were, among others, Takashimaya NY for Lafayette Haussmann and beautiful international shops (Milan, New York, Kuwait , Melbourne, Berlin, Tokyo, etc.)
In 2009 and after 20 collections, the exhibition “The history of Ken Okada shirt” in the galleries Lafayette Hausmann, raised awareness for the brand that became the point of reference of modern shirt.
In 2010, the designer is once again assigned to create, on the one hand, the uniforms of the restoration team of Galeries Lafayette and, on the other hand, the figures of the dancers of the Paris Opera.
In 2014, she decided to make a complete collection as well as a capsule collection for men. The brand has captured iconic celebrities such as Claire Chazal, Peter Von Poehl, Sophie Brafman, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor …
In 2015, after celebrating its 15-year mark, Ken Okada has taken a new step in attending the 20th edition of the Christmas tree creators, alongside big names in luxury. Among the 34 renowned designers were Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chantal Thomass and Jean-Claude Jitrois …
In 2016, the international press began to take an interest in the Ken Okada brand. On April 7, at the invitation of the jeweler Lorenz Bäumer, Ken Okada presents his collection Fall Winter 2016/2017, Place Vendôme.
KEN SHIRT OKADA
