Getting To Know The Cartier Cactus Collection

When I was in Paris, I received an invitation from Index Assessoria e Cartier (www.cartier.fr) for an exclusive visit. The rendez-vous went to see the Cactus collection, and looks is breathtaking.

Cartier has been creating pieces of flowers since the early days of the Maison, but this time the inspiration was a little more, so to speak, peculiar. The stars of the time were the succulent plants, more robust plants to contrast with the usual delicate flowers. The Cartier Cactus jewelry is both sensual, geometric, sharp and soft. Yes, it is a game of synesthesia and paradoxes that combined give the jewelry a unique personality.

The jewels come in yellow gold that resemble the desert heat, blue stones, many green stones and diamonds, many diamonds ❤!

And that bag that is literally a jewel?

For me this piece is the one that most symbolizes the theme of the collection. A sculptural design adorned with emerald, chrysoprase and carnelian beads. This jewel represents the cactus in full bloom, which often only happens at night, a metaphor that will fall like a glove for those seeking new nighttime jewelry.
