The first Met Gala was in 1948, but it only became famous in 1999, when the editor of Vogue Anna Wintour assumed the position of organizer of the event. To this day, it is she who takes care of all the details of the ball and the list of guests. That’s right, it is she who chooses who goes to the event or not. The Met Gala aims to raise funds for the Met Costume Institute, which is responsible for the museum’s fashion show.
When does the Met Gala happen?
It usually depended on when the fashion show started every year, but since 2005 it was established that the event takes place on the first Monday of May. This year, for example, happens today. Who is eager to check out all the looks?
How much does the Met Ball invitation cost?
Tickets can cost upwards of $ 25,000 – individually, just to participate! But it’s no use just having the money, as I said, to participate in the event still need to be personally approved by Anna Wintour. Imagine the anxiety? Oh, and detail, only the total of 650 – 700 people can participate.

Every Dance Has A Theme

The Met Ball is an incredible (vs. Oscar-themed) opportunity for designers to wear great celebrities. It is an event that the whole world is following, and having your piece paraded on Red Carpet is of invaluable branding value. But let’s agree that the staff do not always get it right, right?
